Its main function is to facilitate the secure transfer of files between a local and a remote computer offering SSH service. WinSCP can also carry out basic file operations, such as downloads, uploads, copy/paste and delete. It is also possible to rename files and directories, create new folders, change properties of files and folders, and create symbolic links and shortcuts. Using its dual panel WinSCP can also safely manage files on your local computer. It is easy to use for users who are not accustomed to the use of the Console of a Linux terminal from Windows.
